TCIS Africa

Africa’s biggest and most anticipated clinical research summit of the year. TCIS AFRICA is a converging point for Clinical Researchers, Medical Professionals, CROs, Pharmas, regulatory agencies and Academia to network, exchange achievements, milestones, and challenges, as well as establish strategic direction for clinical trial management in Africa.

Africa is no longer a secret gem, as many pharmaceuticals, CROs and biotech are now aware of its potential. It is the destination point for clinical trials due to the possibility for recruiting huge number participants for clinical trials, as well as it’s unfortunate high disease burden rate. Sub-Saharan Africa’s population rose by roughly 2.63 percent in 2020, adding approximately 1.14 billion people to the global population. Africa has the ability to provide the reliable and useable data in large and diverse population needed for clinical studies.

The Summit’s goal is to show the world what Africa has to offer: our skills and capabilities in conducting credible trials with reliable data. It claims to provide researchers and aspiring researchers with a learning platform as well as networking possibilities. Surprisingly, Africa is becoming a more popular and cost-effective destination for industry-sponsored clinical trials.

The inaugural edition of the summit took place February 2020 and was supported by The Global Health Trial Network (GHTN) and other organizations. Members of several regulatory agencies, including NAFDAC, NHREC, NIPRD, NIMR, and clinical research organizations, attended the session and shared strategies for quality data collecting and site readiness.

It was a content rich program
